Tamara's Story
Tamara's passion for helping others has been the driving force behind her legal career for nearly two decades.
Raised in the Midwest, Tamara attended Elmhurst University before earning her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2007. She began practicing law in 2008 and soon made Connecticut her home, drawn to its welcoming communities, beautiful scenery, and unique New England charm. What started as a new opportunity quickly became the place she chose to build both her career and her life.
Early in her practice, Tamara discovered a passion for criminal defense. She believes that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. One mistake should not define a person's future. Whether advocating for someone facing criminal charges or helping them navigate an incredibly difficult chapter in their life, she is committed to protecting her clients' rights while providing steadfast guidance every step of the way.
As her career evolved, Tamara embraced the opportunity to expand her practice into civil litigation and consumer debt matters. For more than a decade, she has represented individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, helping clients understand their rights, resolve complex legal issues, and work toward a more stable financial future. She understands that financial struggles can happen to anyone, and she approaches every case with empathy, practical advice, and a commitment to finding meaningful solutions.
Tamara's dedication to serving others also led her to develop a passion for estate planning. After experiencing firsthand how a lack of planning left her own family unprepared during a difficult time, she became committed to helping others avoid the same uncertainty. She believes that thoughtful estate planning is one of the greatest gifts a person can leave their loved ones, providing clarity, security, and peace of mind when it matters most.
Today, Tamara proudly represents clients throughout Connecticut in criminal defense, consumer debt and financial hardship matters, and estate planning. No matter the legal issue, she is known for providing honest guidance, compassionate counsel, and strong advocacy. Her goal is simple: to help every client feel heard, supported, and confidently represented from the first conversation through the resolution of their case.
Behind the Briefcase
Outside of her legal practice, Tamara enjoys making the most of her time with the people and activities she loves. Whether she's exploring the outdoors, traveling to new destinations, spending a day on the golf course, or beating you in poker, she values opportunities to recharge and create lasting memories.
Tamara is also the proud dog mom to her beloved Cane Corso, Leo—the biggest, drooliest "baby" you'll ever meet, who keeps life entertaining, to say the least.
Above all, Tamara treasures the time she spends with her family and friends. She believes that the relationships we build and the moments we share are what truly enrich our lives, and she brings that same sense of compassion, loyalty, and honesty to every client she represents.
